Art - the Force Toward Kindness

水墨是禅意的外化,点线面,黑白灰,干润燥,笔到之处言而不尽,形色有尽而意味无穷。水墨又是包容并蓄的艺术,符号自由构建,万象绵延无边,浓烈与淡薄水乳交融,生机于寂定中沉潜流动。水墨还是最传统的艺术,大道至简,一支笔、一张纸、一碗墨,绘尽天地之变化,况味万物之更替。即将举办的《谢天版画城市联展-艺术思维驱动设计创新》,正是这份生命力的载体之一。

Ink painting is the embodiment of Zen, point ,line and surface, black, white and gray, dry and wet, The quill is speaking for you if you have something to say but you can’t say it out loud. Ink painting is also an inclusive art, the symbols of which are freely constructed, and all kinds of things expressed are endless, strong and clear. The balance is achieved in the contradiction, and the vitality flows quietly in the stillness. The upcoming "Xie Tian Joint City Print Exhibition - Artistic Thinking Drives Design Innovation" is one of the carriers of this vitality.

在这特殊的一年——疫情蔓延,经济动荡,国际形势如山雨欲来。但是我们仍然相信,春天总是出现在冬天之后,向善的力量一定会支撑我们逆流而上。此次由国际当代艺术联合会、中国当代艺术出版社共同主办,江南学社与设计江南联合主办,江南名师汇及各城市设计机构共同承办的《谢天版画城市联展-艺术思维驱动设计创新》将在国内十个城市陆续开展,跨域传播这份至善之力量。

Jointly sponsored by the International Federation of Contemporary Art and China Contemporary Art Press, Jiangnan Society and Disign Yrd , and jointly organized by Jiangnan Mingshihui and various urban design institutions, Xie Tian Joint City Print Exhibition - Artistic Thinking Drives Design Innovation will be carried out in ten cities in China to spread this kind of art force toward kindness.

 

 

届时,展览将展出当代艺术家/知名设计师/ZCDA江南学社资深顾问 谢天 创作的23件版画作品,同时通过设计分享、运动联谊等多维形式与各地设计师作交流互动,营造更开放、更创新的设计赋能场域。

By then, the exhibition will display 23 print works created by Xie Tian, a contemporary artist / famous designer / Senior Consultant of ZCDA . At the same time, the designers from all over the world will exchange and interact with each other through multi-dimensional forms such as design sharing and making friends while doing sports , so as to create a more open and innovative design enabling field.

Xie Tian Joint City Print Exhibition · First Station Nanjing

 9月26日,本次联展的首站——南京站就将在金鹰艺术中心迎来正式开幕,并以此正式揭开这场遍及十城的大规模联展。值得一提的是,南京首站策展人为谢天的好友——潘冉和钱熹临,当然,还有总策展人 艺术家陈华沙。独特的水墨艺术,先锋的版画实验,加之多维的活动形式,以及业界好友的鼎力支持,相信《谢天版画城市联展·南京站》会在古老的南京城里,绽放出独特的艺术风华。On September 26, the first stop of the print exhibition, Nanjing station, will officially open in the Jinying Contemporary Art Space, and officially unveil this large-scale print exhibition in ten cities. It is worth mentioning that the exhibition planner of the first station in Nanjing are Xie Tian's friends, Pan Ran, Qian Xilin, and of course, with the chief curator, artist Chen Huasha . Foreword

黑色即是白色,书即是刻。墨与刀,黑与白……墨是物质,亦是艺术家的思想载体。以物性、灵性为切入点在多元文化语境下探讨当代水墨艺术的创作维度。艺术是艺术家的自我表现,是艺术家的共情与同理心,艺术家用自己的身、心、灵书写对天地的体悟。

Black is white, book is carving. Ink and knife, black and white ... Ink is not only material, but also the carrier of artists' thoughts. It discusses the creation dimension of contemporary ink art in the context of multi culture from the perspective of material nature and spirituality. Art is an artist's "proposition" of self-expression and a tool for human beings to express their sense of self. Artists use their own skills to freely and naturally express their own self.

笔心墨意,谢天是一位跨越设计与艺术、融汇传统与现代的艺术创造者,他擅长运用不同媒介,独特视角进行思考与创作,从绘画到图像,再到装置,窥视着“墨艺术”的未来。

水墨艺术实验创作

Experimental creation of ink painting art

2019年,设计师谢天将其对世界的解读扩展到了一个新的领域——实验艺术创作。威尼斯双年展上的大型装置作品《修墙——客观世界2019》、杭州明月楼的《“墨屐”—— 谢天丨实验艺术展》、广州设计周上的《图像与大地-谢天版画展》,每一场展出都记录了他从设计迈向艺术途中的不同认知坐标。

In 2019, interior architect Xie Tian added the role of "artist" in his media identity. In the Venice Biennale, the large installation work "Repair the Wall - the Objective World 2019", the "ink clogs - Xie Tianyi Experimental Art Exhibition" in Hangzhou Mingyue tower, and the "Image and Earth - Xie Tian Print Exhibition" at Guangzhou design week, each exhibition recorded his different cognitive coordinates on the way from design to art.

本次即将亮相《谢天版画城市联展-艺术思维驱动设计创新》的23件作品,则较为全面地涵盖了他对水、墨、纸的艺术把握,以及对“版画”这一呈现形式的深度探索。此外,这也是谢天首次开启城市联展,以艺术与设计的多维创作为不同城市之间的对话创造契机。

Artistic Thinking Drives Design Innovation

除了版画的展出外,谢天还将在联展中以《艺术思维驱动设计创新》为题进行设计演讲,与不同城市的设计师们做深入交流,分享多年来的设计经验与感悟。同时,他还将首次系统讲述自己由设计迈入艺术创作后所得到的思维创新与灵感启发。

In addition to the print exhibition, Xie Tian will also give a design speech on the theme of "Artistic Thinking Drives Design Innovation" in the joint exhibition. He will make in-depth exchanges with designers from different cities and share his design experience and insights over the years. At the same time, he will also, for the first time, systematically describe his thinking innovation and inspiration after he stepped from design into artistic creation.

作为70后设计师代表,谢天凭借深厚的设计功底被称为“行走的教科书”,作品包括杭州西湖国宾馆一号楼、G20峰会主要场馆设计等。他提出的“心造空间”理念与空间设计应实现的五个目标:舒适、健康、循环、能效、经济,更是为设计提供了可遵循的评价标准与思考模式。

As a representative of the Post-70s designers, Xie Tian is known as the "walking textbook" with his profound design skills. His works include the design of the No.1 building of Hangzhou West Lake State Guesthouse Hotel and the main venues of the G20 Summit. 今年夏季,江南学社首届篮球赛在杭州点燃了设计师们的运动激情,也让疫情影响下的社交断层被热闹的球技切磋所填补。谢天所在的设计师球队国艺队更是技高一筹,勇夺冠军。

This summer, the first basketball match of ZCDA ignited the passion of designers in Hangzhou, and filled the social gap affected by the epidemic situation with lively competition. Among them, Xie Tian's designer team, the national art team, is more skillful and won the championship.

The champion team of the first basketball competition of ZCDA-National art team

“君子好球,有球必应”,设计师们以篮球之名相聚球场,彼此协作、对抗,让团队之间的默契在运动中不断深化。如今,虽然江南学社首届篮球赛已落下帷幕,这份运动与团结的精神却值得被广泛接力。为此,每一站的《谢天版画城市联展》中,杭州设计界都将派出篮球代表队,在每个城市与属地设计师篮球联队进行友情赛,让不同城市的设计师在热血的篮球赛事中相识相知,在设计内外的多样形式里互动切磋。"Gentlemen love playing basketball, and if there is a ball, you just want to play it". The designers got together in the court in the name of basketball and cooperate with each other to deepen the tacit understanding among the design team in the sport. Today, although the first basketball competition of ZCDA has come to an end, the spirit of sports and unity is worthy of wide relay. Therefore, in each station of the "Xie Tian Joint City Print Exhibition", the Hangzhou design community will send basketball teams to hold friendly competitions with the local designers' basketball teams in each city, so that designers from different cities can get to know each other in the hot-blooded basketball games and interact with each other in various forms inside and outside the design.

艺术家谢天现工作生活于杭州。在专业研究领域里,涉及到建筑空间及工业设计,大型公共艺术设计,城市视觉美学研究,多媒体艺术等。作为一位带有强烈东方文人气质的艺术家,谢天着意于将其对中国美学、哲学以及生活和生产方式的理解融入到自己的文化积淀与艺术表达之中,以东方视角折射世界性问题。

Artist Xie Tian presently works and lives in Hangzhou. In his field of professional research, it involves architectural space and industrial design, large-scale public art design, urban visual aesthetics research, multimedia art etc. As an artist with strong oriental literati temperament, Xie Tian devoted himself to integrating his understanding of Chinese aesthetics, philosophy, life and production mode into his own cultural accumulation and artistic expression, and refracted the world problems from the Oriental perspective.
